This was a large 22″ x 34″ piece done for an old family friend as her commission when she helped us buy our first house in 2005

Here is another digital sketch using the same box from the bird’s eye view of the kitchen. The color scheme of this one was influenced by my daughters love of all things princess and pink.

I spent 4 years in highschool 2-3 hours a day doing house plans in the drafting class room. I was thinking it would be interesting to show a more stylized version of the plan view. This was a quick sketch of the ideaI wasn’t as pleased with it as I hoped I would be.I would like to rework a full size room and do a lot more of an iconic style for it.

On those nights were I don’t seem to be able to hook anything from the subconscious waters, i will draw what ever happens to be nearby. Tonight it was a pair of shoes i nthe closet. My wife was sleeping so I could turn on the closet light and draw lying in there.

I did this piece by drawing six panels each one on a full size piece of sketch paper 8.5 x 11. Then I scanned and merged each one into photoshop and combined them and then added the color. Being able to go from large to small after the scan had the effect I wanted which was to increase the resolution of smaller details. The subject matter is subjective consciousness and the many layers that can affect and alter it, it also evokes a fealing of claustrophobia to me.

I think this was the first in this series. I was experimenting with duplication and repitition. I like that in the digital medium you can achieve such an exact duplication. I like the airy look the piece ended up with it has a spring time feel to me. They are collectivly waking up to a shared and dynamic truth. possibly the spatial 4th dimension

This is one of my all time favorite pieces. Brain cells awaking awakening to consciousness. The whole brain is lighting up in a wave that sweeps you into observation.
